"Treating the spirits in the location you’re investigating with dignity and respect will help gain the trust needed to promote a more responsive EVP or Spirit Box session."
Best methods for spirit communication."
EVP Sessions
Scientific Theory- A ghost or spirit can manipulate the audio recorders and use them to communicate with investigators. There are 3 main types of EVP.
Types of EVP
Class A voices are very clear and easily understandable.
Class B voices are fairly loud and clear and are sometimes audible without headphones.
Class C voices are very soft and often require the audio to be cleaned up and amplified by audio programs in order to be heard by the physical ear.
Conducting a productive EVP session will require 2-6 people and an audio recorder. After researching the location and interviewing witnesses you can kind of guide the session by asking questions pertaining to the information gained. Gather the investigators into the location and place the audio recorder or recorders around the space and have one person at a time to ask questions. Allow at least 20-30 seconds in between questions for the spirit or entity to answer.
Asking several questions and listening for responses during the investigation or waiting to go over the evidence at a later time can be done using this method of spirit communication. Recording in real-time is also known to help investigators collect immediate evidence during recording sessions.
Estes Method
Using the Estes Method is really interesting. After experimenting with this technique over the past several months, I must say that there is something to this method.
You'll need at least 2 people to conduct this experiment. One person to ask questions and one person to receive the answers. Use a blackout blindfold, noise canceling headphones and a spirit box. Have the person sit in a comfortable location, place the blindfold and headphones on after connecting the headphones to the spirit box. Once the person acting as the receiver is comfortable and ready you can start the experiment by asking your first question.
Spirit Box Experiment
Just turning on the spirit box and asking questions can result in responses to the questions asked by paranormal investigators. The thing about this type of session is you may hear answers while you're conducting the experiment, but you may hear even more once you go through any audio recordings of the session.
Flashlights
Setting up flashlights for spirit communication is a popular experiment used for yes and no questions. Referring to them as torches or lanterns can help spirits trust the method. Using more than one flashlight is recommended, one for yes and one for no.
K11 Meters, Rempods, and EMF Detectors
Detecting fluctuations in the surrounding EMF fields during communication sessions can add to the evidence being presented. You can also use these devices for communicating directly with any spirits present by asking them to use the equipment to respond to questions by lighting them up for yes and not lighting them up for no.
Trigger Objects
Using the historical research done on the location can lead you to finding trigger items to be used during an investigation that will help draw out any spirits on the property. Examples of trigger objects would be toys for hauntings that involve the possibility of a child or children. Alcohol or tobacco products, or items that would be relevant for the spirit or spirits thought to be haunting the location. Religious artifacts, such as crucifixes, holy water or rosaries can be used for a more negative haunting.
